What will I gain from attending the SAPICS Annual Conference and what does it entail?

The Conference offers practical and relevant information in Supply Chain and Operations Management through excellent educational presentations, case studies, idea exchange sessions, interactive workshops and exceptional networking opportunities.

 

If my company is paying for me to attend the SAPICS Annual Conference how will they benefit?

They will benefit by empowering you with relevant knowledge and information which will leave you with a desire to put to practice what you have learnt and experienced. It will equip you with better tools to perform your relevant tasks in the workplace and enable others to learn through your experience.

 

Can I claim back from my SETA for attending the Conference?

As SAPICS is an accredited education provider of MERSETA, you are able to claim the conference attendance back through your mandatory grant.

 

Does attendance of the conference give me points towards my CPIM / CSCP maintenance?

Yes attendance of the full conference is worth 20 points towards your maintenance [1 point per hour of attendance]

 

What is the purpose of the Professional Development Events?

SAPICS intention with these events, which include breakfast sessions, workshops and site visits, is to encourage knowledge exchange and networking opportunities. All are intended to be informative but also in an environment which is conducive to group interaction with peers.
